Whether you have a few hours a week or room in your home for a foster bird, we’d love to welcome you to our flock! Together, we can save parrots and change lives.

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our rescue. From cleaning cages and preparing meals to socializing birds and assisting with events, there's a role for every skill set. No prior experience with parrots? No problem—we’ll guide you every step of the way!

Whether you're offering your time at our Mantua, Ohio facility or opening your home to a parrot in need, your compassion helps us build a more hopeful future for these intelligent, sensitive birds.   

Fostering offers parrots a safe, nurturing space to heal and thrive while they await their forever home. As a foster, you’ll help a bird adjust to home life, build trust, and prepare for adoption. To ensure the best experience for both you and the bird, all foster homes must be located within a reasonable distance of our Mantua, OH facility. We also require a brief in-person home visit and participation in our parrot care class to help you feel confident and prepared.
